    Mr. R. Srinivasan

    Interview Panel Member & Adviser: Mr. Srinivasan had education from Delhi School of Economics, Cambridge University and Glasgow University, U.K. He started his career as a Lecturer in 1967 in Hansraj College, Delhi University. Towards the end of 1968, he joined the Indian Economic Service and held various senior positions in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Telecommunication and Ministry of Commerce. He had also worked as Economic Adviser (Development Policy) in the Planning Commission for about 3 years. He has held number of foreign assignments with agencies like Kuwait Fund for Technical Mission to the Republic of Maldives. He also served as Consultant to World Bank for preparation of a Report on Andhra Pradesh State. He also worked with the Asian Productivity Organisation, Tokyo. After his retirement in July 2004, he worked as Advisor with the Govt. of Mauritius, attached to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, for three and a half years. On his return and since September 2008, he worked as a Consultant with the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi working on the issues relating to Insurance Sector and State Development reports. He has been part of the UPSC Interview Panel for IAS and IES etc.
